How is this festival different from traditional film festivals?

Unlike traditional festivals that group short films into niche blocks for small or industry-only audiences, we pair each selected short film directly with a high-profile commercial feature film during prime weekend showtimes. Your film screens in front of a real, ticket-buying moviegoer audience at Aloma Cinema Grill.

Do I need to attend the festival in person if my film is selected?

Attendance is completely optional! However, if you plan to attend, please notify us as far in advance as possible. Early notice allows our team to make proper arrangements and ensure the highest level of hospitality and professional organization during your visit.

What exhibition format do I need to provide? Do I need a DCP?

A DCP is not mandatory. Selected filmmakers can submit a high-quality HD digital file (H.264 / ProRes, 1080p minimum). If you do not have a DCP, our festival team will create a professional DCP for your film free of charge to ensure flawless theatrical projection

How are short films paired with feature films?

Our programming team carefully pairs each short film with an appropriate commercial feature film based on tone, genre, and audience demographic to guarantee the best viewing experience for the crowd.

Will my film be promoted on social media?

Yes! Selected projects will be featured on our official Instagram account with their poster, title, and synopsis. If you prefer not to have your project promoted on social media, simply notify us and we will respect your preference.

How and when will I be notified if my project is selected?

All selected and nominated filmmakers will receive an automated notification directly through the platform where they submitted (e.g., FilmFreeway, Festhome). In addition, our team will send you a personalized email with full details regarding the schedule, screening time, and next steps for your project.

Will selected or nominated projects receive official laurels and certificates?

Yes! Every officially nominated project will receive customized official laurels for their category, as well as a digital Official Certificate of Nomination to showcase their selection at the festival.
